Opportunities
Product Problem Statement:
The current state of internal Diversity & Inclusion engagement has focused primarily on employee completion of virtual trainings. These trainings fail to address the need for interpersonal interaction and meaningful connection. My Story, Your Story will provide employees with a tool to foster personal expression and interpersonal connection, leading to greater retention and advancement for all.
Expand and deepen empathetic scope of Diversity and Inclusion programming and communication for corporate users.
1
Foster innovation within Diversity and Inclusion initiatives through cross-functional stakeholder collaboration and alignment.

Initial Challenges
What I Did
Evaluated previous third party work to identify areas of alignment, reducing need for rework and keeping things lean.
Coached stakeholders through proto-persona creation, teaching them how to actively apply it in UX strategy.
E2E wireframes, low-fi, and hi-fi mocks and prototypes.
Led usability testing through research design, script writing, user interviews, and data analysis
Advised stakeholders in content creation and management, improving strategy for consistent updating.
Coordinated tight pivots with my team, focusing on team health, requirements insights, and user delight.

PROFILE & ON-BOARDING
Deep Dive: Personal identification at work
The Personal Identification feature opened the deepest cultural, ethical, and human-centered explorations and discussions of the project. A last-minute scope shift, this feature was visioned to go beyond anything available in the corporate world in terms of visible self-expression of protected characteristics.
It was clear, our users needed me, our team, and the client to act as advocates of emotional, social, and cultural safety. I created the following evaluation to aid our process:
Is the user in full control of their own voice in disclosures?
How will disclosures (current/past) be stored digitally?
Who has access to stored information and for what purpose?
What is the potential impact for non-disclosure?
Final Solution
Users' voices retained in most private disclosures ensuring personal autonomy.
Continuously aligned with iterative internal strategy and provided coaching to support continued iteration.
Aligned release strategy with internal marketing efforts.
Client referenced My Story, Your Story in a national news publication to highlight the company’s efforts in Diversity and Inclusion innovations.
